The issue has been analyzed from different perspectives, not only considering the music scene, but also the Spanish journalistic and commercial scene in general, focusing on the specific situation of Valencia. For this purpose, preserved old copies of his works have been examined and have been related to valuable information of their commercial evolution; criticism disseminated through the press of the time have been studied; and documentation has been collected on the first private concerts in which his music was performed, in order, finally, to be able to provide contrasted data that contribute to detailing the process of social and cultural roots of Beethoven's music in Spain.
